Tribute to the Founders of the Autonomous University of Central America

Abstract
The Administrative Board of the Universidad Autónoma de Centro América Foundation has decided to pay tribute to those who constituted this Foundation.
It must be understood that the constitution of this Foundation had the effect of the creation of the first private university of Costa Rica.
Such an action was at the time a historic milestone, an unprecedented act in our legal and educational history, an important political challenge and the breaking of immense prejudice.
