Abstract
Undoubtedly, as I have long stated to students and colleagues, Amedeo Modigliani has been one of my great masters of art, -even listed as "cursed painter", forming terna with Utrillo and Van Gogh (See "a universal genius called Vincent", Academic Act number 33.) -because among other achievements"it satisfies eroticism, spiritualizing the female nude". His artistic conception on more than one occasion has also strengthened me, as when he declared in 1905 his friend Oscar Ghiglia: "... The man who does not know how to continually draw new desires from his own energy and as new individuals destined to assert himself always and to destroy all that is old and has been putrid, he is not a man, he is a bourgeois, a shopkeeper, whatever you want. You suffer, you're right, but can't your pain become a sting that leads you to rediscover yourself and raise your dream even more, to make your desire stronger?...."
