Abstract

A few weeks ago, before the Administrative Board of the Foundation "Autonomous University of Central America" came the initiative of the University Council to pay tribute thanks to Don Guillermo Malavassi Vargas, proposing that the Headquarters, The Cipreses Campus, bear his name given that he was a man who had dedicated himself for more than half a century to Costa Rican education , holding various positions and specifically for his contribution to private university education. I add that I too to public education and stated that it was a very deserved act, since Mr. Rector is an honest man, with a righteousness demonstrated throughout his academic life; showing this is that he has been the only Rector who has had the University, who is an academic person and has more than proven the great love he has for the University. I believe that tributes should be made in life, when people are in good health so that they can enjoy it, and this is the case of Mr Rector; that is why I ipso facto welcomed the proposal of the University Council and it was unanimously approved, with great rejoicing from all the members of the Administrative Board.
