Visiting professor at the University of Turin and former president of the Italian Costa Rican Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Confe¬ rencist in the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Northern Italy and Knight of the Grand Cross of Justice of the Military Order and Nobility of the Holy Trinity. Alumni of Ho¬nor Louisiana State University.

Abstract

The Autonomous University of Central America, the first private university in Costa Rica, is organized according to the English model of Oxford and Cambridge, substantially different in its conception and organization from the Napoleonic or European model of university, followed in Costa Rica by state universities and private.
